My image Reflecting on a Leaf, now on exhibit at the International Exposition of Photography at the San Diego County Fair.
I’ve been working at images involving the effect known as surface tension, starting a year ago on Cape Cod where a first “catch” photograph initiated a personal quest. This image was taken in February, after one of our many storms. Without traveling, I found many photographs on the eucalyptus path on La Jolla Scenic Drive, and in my church’s parking lot where leaves like this one blew or got “rained down” into shallow water. In the process, I became a student of puddles, even a connoisseur.
With this result: a water-oriented photograph taken in southern California—after years of drought.
It’s a very fine photo, Sally.
Thank you so much, Mark.
Breathtaking …so simple‼️
Thank you, Cheryl.
Absolutely gorgeous as usual Sally!
Tina,
Thanks for your appreciative comment and support — Sally
The photo is so stunning. I first saw it on your Facebook page and I fell in love with it. It has a calming effect on me. I can’t take my eyes off it. I can imagine it blown up large and framed. Thank you for sharing, Sally!
Dear Pavina,
Thank you very much, and perhaps I can show you in person, once I get the physical image back from the fair. I appreciate your comment — Sally
I look at your photos in awe at how you capture nature we might usually miss seeing. Thank you for sharing your talent with us!
Marlene,
Thank you – and there will be more coming, from Wisconsin, soon! So many lakes and trees, there — Sally
